packing our home

For the last four days we have been packing our home...well the stuff in it. We have had a lot of help from friends and it is surreal to see this season of our lives come to an end. We are really getting excited about starting this new adventure. In two days we will pack a truck with all of our belongings and say goodbye to 25 mcintosh st. Wow! I can't believe it! It seems like a dream. This house has a lot of history. We raised our kids here. We had a bunch of birthday parties here.
The tree nearest the driveway is jackson's climbing tree. I have put him in that tree and prayed for him not to fall out a few times. We have played baseball as a family in that front yard. We have gone through at least three kiddie pools. Man i hated cutting that grass. I will miss this place. Los

almost?

i told you there'd be great news soon ... our house is #1 choice for someone - hip hip hooray! oh, that has happened before, hasn't it? but, i am praying that this one doesn't fall through. there seems to be some problem with financing (i won't get into it all). it seems like a problem that can be solved semi-easily. so we wait ...

here i sit again ... wanting to share good news with all of you. all i've got is that at this moment our house is 'top 2' for 3 different people.

the kids start their run of half days today before ending school on friday. what a 'rush' it will be once they are home full time.

we had some pretty hard 'good-byes' this weekend. as i'm sure they will just keep getting harder and harder.

time is short right now. keep reading, i feel some great news is on the horizon!!

sorry

sorry to all of you that are checking this blog and not seeing anything new. i wish i had some news about the house for you. not the case ... but God is definitely working. there is no doubt in my mind that He is in control. but regardless of what happens ... 24 more days. (wow, i think i just almost passed out)

our days have been filled with a lot of list making to make sure we aren't remembering 'things' at the last minute that still would need to get done. so to those of you that have moved before - any advice as to what those 'things' are?

at this point, also, our days are filled with goodbyes. i didn't think it would be starting already - guess i'm pretty naive. ... last doctor/dentist appt's, last haircuts ... and tonight a very hard last Bunko. i've played Bunko with these women for probably 6 years now. most of them have become like family to me. (older sisters, of course - LOL!!) i can't even put into words how much i'm going to miss our monthly gathering. an outlet that i've so needed!! ... and remember ladies 'bunko reunion' every time i visit!
