that one we felt

yep, the earth quaked under our feet yesterday. not bad, it took just over a year of living in CA to experience an earthquake. and boy was it freaky. i actually felt dizzy after. one of my clients told me that it was the worst that she could remember in this area and she's 87 years old. evidently, there are two different kinds of earthquakes - rolling ones and 'not' rolling ones (whatever that means) and yesterday's was a rolling one. it went on for what seemed like forever. ... and everything i've learned as far as what to do when an earthquake hits ... went right out the window. i was at a new clients house (big and spacious) the earthquake hit, it took me a few seconds to figure out what it was and once it hit me 'it's an earthquake you idiot' - I FROZE. i then looked for a door jam but by then it was over. oh well, maybe next time i won't freeze.

1 picture?

ok, i know there's got to be more pictures out there of my family on vacation in NY. the shay's sent a whole CD of pictures home with us but somewhere between NY and CA, they got missed placed. i will find them, and as soon as i do, i'll post all 50+ of the pictures lex and katie took of themselves.

this picture was sent to me from Elizabeth's boyfriend, Phil. my kids loved him. it was really great to meet the guy that is dating our lizzy (as lexi would say) ...

thanks for checking our blog,

it's about time, i know ...

what an insane month. i am sure that most of you feel the same way about summer.

our trip to NY was great! we got to see family and friends that we've missed so very much. BUT the trip was too short. it's amazing how much you can squeeze out of each moment when you have to. i don't think i've ever been so tired both physically and mentally. but it was so worth it.

i have one question for you all ... if you have any pictures from our time in NY, could you please send them to me via email? i don't have any because our camera is busted. i'd love to post some pic's on here. thanks.

the picture above was what we came home to. put there by our friends greg and angie nardo. but that wasn't it ... when we opened our front door - there sat a brand new BBQ grill and gifts for the whole family, including mom.
