here i sit, a full 11 days since the last entry. not only have i not been doing well with keeping the blog up but i have 30 emails sitting in my inbox that need to be responded to. WOW! ... do i feel the love. (not to mention the comments i have to answer on myspace and facebook) ... i know, wah wah. i'm not whining, i guess i'm just apologizing.

last week was a good week for team cueva ...

los and i found out that we did, in fact, get the money from the conference. they will be supplementing his income for the next 2 years. PRAISE GOD!!
tony had his first play date. not only that, but the mom (jackie) and i get a long really well. they are a christian family and have 3 kids as well. the oldest is tony's age, then there is a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old (that i just adore). i am definitely getting my baby fill from her.
i went to our new churches women's retreat a weekend ago. it was a great experience for me. i met a lot of women from the church and God really spoke to me through the speakers (who were amazing). i came home a new mom and wife.

so that's the low down on last week and this one is starting off pretty well. lex actually found out last week that a girl from her class lives just down the street from us. she is very excited about that. the girl, hannah, came over today after school for a homework date and stayed for dinner. lex really needs this. hannah comes from a christian family and seems to be someone that lex will get along very well with. exciting for both her and me. ... now we just need to find a friend for jackson ... he seems to get along well with everyone but i haven't found him talking about just one kid individually. we'll see.

carlos and i got out today for a bike ride together. my legs are aching as i write. i think i actually had an anxiety attack while on the ride. we had to stop so i could relax a bit. not sure what that was all about, but i'm alive and recuperating. we (carlos and i) are trying to get out for lunch at least once a week. we don't have a lot of time alone but we are trying to make the best of what we do have.

'til next time, thanks for reading,
nic
