... she says as she shakes her head ... it's a funny thing, no matter how badly you do, you still can't wait to get up there and bowl your next ball. in hopes, of course, that you do better. 'better' should come, right? well, my 2nd week of league bowling was disappointing. not my first game, but my second and third game left A LOT to be desired. i'd like to share with you what one gentleman said in conversation that i happened to overhear, but i'm afraid it'll sound too prideful ... oh well, when have i ever been able to keep my mouth shut (don't answer that) ... he said, "that girl throws a mean ball." THAT, i am afraid, was the beginning of my downfall that evening. pride, does in fact, go before the fall. not that i was prideful, but i now knew that people were watching me (that sounds prideful doesn't it?) well, hopefully you all know me well enough to know that i'm not trying to be conceited. if there is one reason to dislike bowling, it is that - I HATE WHEN PEOPLE WATCH. it makes me nervous. thus, the bad bad bowling in games 2 and 3.
alright, that's it for now. we are off to fontana to visit carlos' family (without carlos because he has a meeting tomorrow) but we will go and swim and have fun without him!!,
nic
ps - team photo to come, but 'some of us' weren't in a very good mood after bowling to take a pic. hopefully next week.
